Fall is in the air, and soon, so will the aroma of freshly made Brunswick Stew! Manakin’s Men of the Church are preparing for their annual stew sale, and if you are interested in enjoying some of this tasty stew, here is how you can get it.
Stew is sold by the quart, and each quart is $10.
We highly recommend you preorder your stew. Preorders will be accepted until October 8.
To place your order, visit the church’s online payment system at https://onrealm.org/manakin/give, select Brunswick Stew from the dropdown box. In the memo section, indicate how many quarts you want; enter your email address; and then follow the rest of the instructions and make your payment. You will receive an emailed receipt. Due to increased food costs, please consider including the service fee, so that stew profits are not reduced.
Pre-ordered stew must be picked up Friday, October 10, from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. at the cook site, located at the Midlothian Masonic Lodge, 13510 Westfield Road. The stew will be hot and ready to eat! Manakin is unable to store pre-sold quarts that are not picked up on October 10, so please make arrangements to pick up your pre-ordered stew.
On October 11, the public will be able to purchase quarts that weren’t presold. The public stew sale will take place 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in Denny Hall at Manakin Church. Cost per quart is $10.
Mark your calendars, and join Manakin Episcopal Church for our upcoming 325th Anniversary events.
