Habitat for Humanity of Powhatan
Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity has been building homes in the area for nine years, and they are affiliated with the larger Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). Habitat is dedicated to providing housing for low-income families, with mortgage payments going toward the building of more homes. HFHI has built more than 150,000 houses since its formation in 1976. Manakin has given over $15,000 and volunteered on the job to help build five homes in the Greater Richmond area during this time! HFH-P has also purchased eight additional building lots, and has to build one or two new homes a year going forward.
Powhatan Workday
