We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve with our guests down at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. We fed a delicious, hot lunch to about 175 people. The many smiles and trips back through the serving line for seconds and sometimes thirds demonstrated how much lunch was enjoyed. Thank you to the many people who prepared food and served food. I appreciate you. Richmond Friends of the Homeless appreciate you. And our guests at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church appreciate you.

We serve these meals in partnership with Richmond Friends of the Homeless, a non-profit organization that reaches out to some of the area’s most marginalized people. We are honored to serve at this site every fifth Wednesday. Our next fifth Wednesday is April 29. Our Outreach Commit-tee sponsors this loving and life-giving ministry.

In addition to the hot lunch that was served on December 31, we donated many warm clothes and teddy bears to the children who were there that day.
