We will soon have lay people at Manakin who have been trained to give loving, one-on-one, Christian care to those who have suffered some sort of loss, diagnosis or trouble that they are having difficulty navigating. Stephen Ministry is beginning at Manakin. Paula Price received training this past summer to become our Stephen Leader. She will begin training our first Stephen Ministers in October. It is a 50-hour training program and should be finished by January.
